Terms of Service

Our Terms Policy explains how our website and services work, what you can expect from us, and what we expect from you. It’s designed to keep everything clear, fair, and transparent so you can use our services with confidence and trust.

1. Project Agreement and Scope

The project scope (number of illustrations, style, deadlines, and pricing) is agreed upon before the first payment. If the project scope changes significantly after the sketch stage begins, for example, if you request a new character or a major change in setting, we will discuss a fair adjustment to the timeline and cost before proceeding.

2. Payments and Refunds

We require a small advance payment to begin the first illustration, followed by the remaining balance either in full or through an installment plan after the initial draft is approved. Our refund policy allows for a full refund within 7 days if the work has not yet been started or delivered. Final artwork files are delivered only after the total project fee has been successfully paid.

3. Rights and Ownership

Upon final and full payment, all commercial rights to the illustrations are transferred entirely to you. You own the artwork and are free to use it for publishing, merchandise, promotion, and all related products. We do not retain any royalties or ongoing claims to your book's earnings.

4. Client Responsibilities

To ensure we meet the agreed-upon deadlines, we rely on you to provide all necessary assets (like your final manuscript or reference images) and timely feedback during the sketch and revision stages. Delays in receiving these items may require us to adjust the project schedule.

Frequently Asked Questions

Find simple and clear answers to the most frequently asked questions about our illustration process, including sketches, revisions, book covers, formatting, and project timelines.

How does the illustration process start?

We begin by talking with you to understand your ideas clearly. You can share your thoughts or written descriptions for each illustration. Once we receive your ideas, we create a sketch and send it to you for review and feedback. Once the sketch is approved, we move on to coloring. We share the colored version with you, and you can request any changes before we finalize it.

How many revisions do I get?

We offer unlimited revisions during the sketch stage and minor revisions after final coloring, to make sure you’re fully happy. We always follow the instructions you give us. If you request a completely different sketch during revisions, there will be an extra charge. A revision means minor changes. For example, changing a character’s clothing is fine. But adding a brand-new character that wasn’t in your original instructions would not be considered a revision.

Do you offer children's book cover design?

Once all illustrations are complete, we create the front, back, and spine of your children’s book cover. We make it eye-catching, professional, and a perfect match for your story. The cover is optimized for all major publishing platforms like Amazon KDP, IngramSpark, D2D, Barnes & Noble, BookBaby, Lulu, and more. You can request unlimited revisions for 100% satisfaction.

Can you match a specific art style?

Yes! Just share examples or references, and we’ll adapt to match your vision while keeping the illustrations original. If the style you’re looking for isn’t something we can perfectly match, we’ll be honest and let you know before starting the project.

Do you offer formatting services for children’s books on self-publishing platforms?

We can format your book for both print and eBook, and also help you with self-publishing. The files you get from us will work on platforms like Amazon KDP, IngramSpark, Draft2Digital, Barnes & Noble, and many others.

Do you work with publishing companies or only with individual authors?

We work with both individual authors and publishing companies. Many of our clients are first-time writers, while others are established publishers. No matter who you are, we adapt our process to meet your goals and make your book stand out beautifully.

Do you use AI to create children’s illustrations?

No, we don’t. All our illustrations are 100% created by skilled human artists. Every piece is carefully hand-drawn with creativity and attention to detail, without any AI tools.

Can you match a specific art style?

Yes! Just share examples or references, and we’ll adapt to match your vision while keeping the illustrations original. If the style you’re looking for isn’t something we can perfectly match, we’ll be honest and let you know before starting the project.

What techniques and tools do you use to create children’s book illustrations?

We use both traditional and digital methods to create our artwork. Most illustrations are made digitally using tools like Adobe Photoshop, Procreate, and Adobe Illustrator.

What files will I receive?

You’ll receive high-resolution, print-ready files (usually in JPG and PDF formats). We also provide files optimized for eBook platforms and PSD files as a source files if needed.

How do you communicate updates during the project?

We stay in touch through email or chat, sharing sketches and progress updates regularly. You’ll always know what stage your project is in and what comes next.

What is the “test drive” offer?

Before committing to the full project, you can get your main character illustrated for just $35. This helps you see our style and build confidence in working together.
